A Houston native, I have lived in several parts of the state (and had the good fortune to see even more), and have my home in the fantastic Houston Heights. A graduate of The University of St. Thomas (Bachelor’s in Liberal Arts with emphasis on Philosophy & History. I wanted a Renaissance education before entering the workforce) I have worked in construction as a mason’s helper, then as a superintendent for spec housing. When the housing crunch hit I found my passion in landscaping. I found a profession where I could use all of my skills and talents. Gardening has a long and intertwined history with humans: it involves science, philosophy and art. I have completed the class-work for the Texas Master Gardener program and continue to volunteer on an ongoing basis. I have completed the State Mandated Basic Training to become eligible for licensing through HCC and I am now a Licensed Irrigator (LI18765) as well as a Licensed Drain Layer (‘drainage’) in the City of Houston (853940PD) and a Certified Landscape Professional (via the TNLA). I am pursuing a second degree, in Horticulture, through HCC and Permaculturalist Certification through Urban Harvest. I grew up in an artistic family, and my mother is an artist….I have come to see gardening as an outlet for my creativity and my need to work hard and be productive. There is such a pleasure in taking a vision and making it real. The look on my client’s face when they see the end result is the best gift of all. If you have any questions, please contact us.
